Area History

Our old and well established community is located in the central area of Toronto and is bounded by Dufferin St. to the west, St. Clair Avenue West to the south, Rosecliffe Avenue to the north and Lauder Avenue to the east.

This area was originally developed in the early 1900s when it was mostly greenhouses and orchards. The Northcliffe Land Development Company developed most of the main thoroughfares in the general area. Since that time the area has seen many changes. At present, the community is experiencing a regeneration and it is therefore, an ideal time for a renewal of community involvement in its development and future.
